IMPORTANT
NOTES AND FREE OFFERS ON THESE FILES -
Many of these Files were originally typed into a Genealogical Program designed
for an Apple
II+ computer in the mid-1980's
. It was an early program with limitations. In the 1990's I paid a company to
convert them to Gedcom files but one of the limitations was that all entries
were in CAPITAL LETTERS. So my name additions are also in Caps.
I currently use Family Tree Maker and it converts dates to apprpriate letter style but not names. The important thing is that they do have links and will allow you to import into your program without typing them all again. I don't pretend that there are no mistakes - I have been over and over again these links and files and they look good to me - but there are thousands and thousands of files so I am sure I missed some stuff.
Upgraded information came mainly from the following sources: Obituary's on file at the Licking County Genealogical Society, other hobby genealogists, census records, contemporaries, comparing family books and notes among other things.
The individuals listed in these files have very few notes as they were lost in conversion. The hard copies of the books all give the references so if that is important you may want to purchase the books instead. The Cooley, Dague, Martin and Monroe books are available on this site. I believe the Ashbrook book is out of print. "The Green Tree" index of names and the book is still available from the: Licking County Genealogical Society - Click here to go there.
FREE UPGRADES AVAILABLE - If you can add or correct 100 or more names to any file you purchase and share them with me I will send you future updated files for FREE! via email. I will also give you references as best I can (I have most) within reason. So if you have a particular problem I will gladly answer any questions.
I will provide folks with 3.5" diskettes or CD Roms with the files on them upon request but the price of the diskettes or CD Rom plus postage and handling will be added to the cost. Trust me you are better off just buying online.
